looking for a Remington 740R old style mag

My sister lost her mag for her Remington 740R in 30-06. We have tried several of the newer ones and nothing will work at all size wise. I am learning the hard way that there is a difference between old and new style. This is different than my 742 in 308 as the aftermarket and new mags all work flawlessly. Hoping someone on here might be able to point me to a replacment or have a no longer needed one. I am open to ideas but do not want to carve the rifle up just yet! thanks all.

There are old 74 series mags on ebay, but i dont know enough to be able ro say if they are from a 742 or 740. There and gunbroker are where id look.
