Louisiana concealed carry on campuses

Looks like a bill has been introduced again this year to make it legal for faculty and students to carry on campus.

I'm kinda appalled at some of the comments at the bottom though.

just imagine the numbe of people shot by guns going off accidently. A student has their gun on their waist and it slips off their waist when they reach over their desk to pick up a pencil or pen and the gun hits the floor and goes off and hits a student or the professor.

See? People still think that guns have a will of their own and can somehow go off whenever they choose. I wonder if they know that you're 53 times more likely* to die in a car "accident" than by an "accidental" gun discharge.

A parish permit is the key. If you have a parish permit, you can carry right now in schools. The problem is that the school must be in the parish the permit is from. It is better than nothing from what i've heard.
