How great an improvement is this over the Lyman DPS II?
My DPS II tended to lose calibration fairly rapidly...when the readings drift over 0.3 grains, the scale signals with a "Beep". No real big deal...as the manual recommended, I kept the calibration essentially constant by pressing the "CAL/ZERO" button every fifth charge. How about the DPS 3...the same?
My DPS II required a minimum of 30-min to warm up before throwing charges...same with the DPS 3?
I installed the DPS Speed Upgrade Kit on my DPS II, which dropped charges at least twice as fast as before...is the DPS 3 any significant improvement over this?
Have any of you DPS 3 owners needed service before the warranty expired? (I didn't with my DPS II, though the keypad eventually quit operating past the zeroing calibration.)
Would particularly appreciate comments from people who have used both the DPS II and the DPS 3...
