Gentlemen,
Data from the 1944 Inspection tests on lots of new M1 Rifles Ordnance had a Endurance Test of 6,000 rounds of Ball ammo. The test was broken ito two parts each was of 3000 rounds. Failures did happen and some were allowed under the test. Here's the quiz:
During this test how many times during this test were allowed for the "Failure to Stay Open on Last Round" ?
Also I could use more input if you guys want the quiz or just a fact post. I had 10 guys email me with Quiz in the subject line. They are 9 to 1 to keep the quiz question. Please email me with what you guys want. Or maybe you guys just want me to stop. Just let me know.
Here's one for all you guys. What about starting a "Round Table" like the Civil War guys have. Once a month local guys get together at a gun club to talk over data, shooting range, parts, etc..No range time just trade info about the M1 Garand. Then they could "report" to the State Group and then on to a National Group with a yearly meeting.
