Need some help here fellas. My dad has gotten into a shotgun buying frenzy the last couple of weeks, the model 12's and 870's I could help him on. Then he came on to these Model 37 Red letter's that I am not familiar with.
The guy has a NIB 28 ga, first addition ( supposedly there were three)
NIB 410 first addition
95-98% 410 second additon
NIB 12 ga first additon
Sorry, I forgot to get barrel lengths and chokes. All I need is ball park figures on their value and information on the 1, 2, and 3rd versions.
Thanks for the help on this one.

Model 37 Winchester single barrel?
Model 37 Ithaca pump gun?
Need a bit more information than what you are providing.

Sorry, it's the Winchester as they are the only one referred to as a Red Letter. Any info will be a big help.

From a year-old Blue Book (24th Ed.):

Model 37 - Not serial numbered, all full choke. Note on pricing that there is a big difference between a 100% gun without a box and a NIB condition.

28 ga. 100%=$1,650; for truly NIB add $125-$175 depending on gauge; add 20% for Red Letter. Most 28 ga. have the "Red Letter".

I can understand his interest in the Model 37, my uncle has a few, but not a .28, and my father has a 98% .410. I'd love to find a deal on a .28 ga. shooter.
