Mag compatibility between AR-10 and Ruger Predator?

Getting conflicting information.

Own the AR-10 and looking for a bolt-action rifle that takes the same mags for simplicity.

Which pattern AR10? There are different patterns, which do not have magazine cross-compatibility. Which magazines does your AR10 accept?

I use Pmags.

the Ruger predators that take AR mags, use AR-15 size magazines.
The .308 sized preds use AI or rotary.

Dang. So if I want interchangeability with my PSA PA-10 and a .308 bolt rifle, then I have to forget about the Ruger Predator and go with the Mossberg Patrol or Scout?

Or, it looks like I could buy the Magpul Hunter American stock and it will take the AR-10 mags.

EDIT: Nope, now it looks like the Magpul stock only works with AI mags at $40 each rather than their cheaper Pmags. Looks like I may have to scrap the Predator if I want mag compatibility.

I think you're right as far as I know only the Mossberg has AR-10 compatible magazines

Sadly, those are Pmag AICS mags that are designed for most bolt action 308 rifles and will not work in an AR-10 rifle. Looks like the only Ruger that uses the standard AR-10 mags is the RPR.

Yes. The spec sheet says it uses a Pmag 7.62 AC magazine. Those are not compatible with AR10 rifles. I will have to find a link when I get home .

You are right. I did not realize it was for there style stock only. Glad i didnt order one since i have a pile of sr-25 mags already. I thought they would work. Sorry about the confusion.

before Ruger released the hunter I built one on a go wild, it's a solid option if you want AI mags....it's heavy tho.

I believe the Mossberg MVP in 308 uses AR10 mags- the SR25/DPMS/Larue type. I have one in 223 that uses Larue mags but won't feed well with aluminum mags- it only likes Pmags. The one below had a 10 round Pmag.
