Mine is really getting out of hand with so many different magazines. How do you store yours? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
What do you mean by "storage" and "out of hand"?
First of all, my general rule of thumb with our guns is "enough magazines to load in full box multiples". So for my Colt 1991A1 as an example, that would be 7 magazines. (7 magazines times 7 rounds each is 49 rounds, essentially a full box of ammo.) For our M&P-15's, the minimum would be two 30 round magazines, which would hold three 20-round boxes of ammo total.
That's how I figure the minimum number of magazines. If I get more, then it's a multiple of that minimum.
I generally store the magazines in .50 caliber ammo boxes. Water tight and stacks neatly with all the other .50 caliber ammo boxes I have, all labeled with Brother P-Touch labels. Ammo storage by caliber, range can called "Range", Cleaning can called "Cleaning", etc.
These ammo cans are my go-to because they're cheap, water proof, stackable, and will handle all the weight of a full packed ammo loadout in any caliber...and won't collapse when stacked, either.
Simple. That's me.
