Magpul UBR Upgrade Photos

I called 3 or 4 times after the M93 was announced as "not going where it was advertised". I have it all written down on the M93 manual, dates and all that.

Ah... so you were giving it that more diamond-shaped M93 profile?

The "lowest" point of the M93 buttplate is about 1/3rd the way down. The UBR has its "highest" point at the top, and then it scallops in all the way to the bottom. I prefer the way the M93 stock seated in my shoulder pocket, and the modification tries to make the UBR buttplate profile more "flat"-- or at least not tending to migrate up my shoulder.

So at the risk of drawing down more wrath.....a month and a half after this last thread started....

SHOT show has come and gone, the Masada has moved to Bushmaster for production, photos of the Massoud rifle are out now.

Anyone able to order a UBR yet?
Anyone heard when these might actually go into production?

I'm pretty sure that Magpul has to contract with outside companies to get their injection molding done. A thousand things could delay releasing new products for that reason.

In good news, it is in their 2008 catalog, along with a cheaper version called the MOE.

The flap is a lid for various storage. I assume there will be CR123 battery inserts and similar when they get their supporting accessories up for the UBR. I was onboard for a UBR early last year but I got tired of waiting and went with a NIB M93 instead after I missed the proto and pre-pro offers. I believe production is coming soon but it's anyone's guess because Magpul squelched their ETAs after sustained whining and complaining by some people on ARFcom.
