Gosh, it is becoming the Wild west in Old San Antonio!! From the article the shooter's vehicle got hit by the drunk driver. I do not understand what the deadly conduct charge is about.

SAN ANTONIO -- An accused drunk driver who police say tried to leave the scene of an accident woke up in jail Wednesday morning. But so did the man who tried to keep him from leaving.

The accident happened around 8:00 p.m. Tuesday when a driver ran a red light at Raybon Drive and Eisenhauer Road. That driver reportedly hit several vehicles. As he tried to take off, a man driving one of the vehicles hit pulled a gun and shot out his tire. Investigators say the driver with the gun then chased the other driver.

Both men were arrested. The driver police say ran the red light and hit the other vehicles was charged with DWI. The other driver was charged with deadly conduct.

That is pathetic he was charged with deadly conduct.
He should be given credit for their arrest of the person. I would understand if maybe there were some people who had to duck out of the way when he shot, but did not see that mentioned.

Hmmm.... well, I guess that guy understands the definition of "Gun Control"....

Seriously though..... you can't go shooting out tires on cars.... anyone's car... without expecting to spend the night in jail....

Has to make one wonder about the use of a firearm to prevent a dangerous fleeing felon though doesn't it?

It was deadly conduct. The man is not LEO or Dirty Harry. He's just a guy with a gun who lost his temper. He has no ground to stand on here.

He should have taken down as much information as possible and let the police do their job.

A cop could not shoot out a tire without loosing his job. Stupid thing to do.
