this morn at 10 am I was hit from the right side by a drunk driver in a buick century .
I was in a 1990 econoline 350 ford van.It tore the car all to pieces and prolly totaled the work van tho I drove it back to t he shop.
The uther fellow had no insurance.
I have been hit lost count ,4 time in the last 2 yrs alone.
Youd think I would be rolling in money, but I aint.
All our biiaattcchhh orifice manager could screech was ,who is gunna pay for
the drug test?
all i could tell her was no one cause I aint takin one ,especially after they cuffed and locked up the drunk that nailed me.
Long story on this physically and mentally cripped woman at work.
The van was up on the left side wheels like in a movie for a few feet.
Wonder if I should git me a lawyer and sue .
Co ins. or state of tn workmans comp?
I was carrying a BHP 9 mm for looters ,thieves , my anti terrosim device.
I drive and work in a lot of the evil dark side.
The guy ran a red traffic light.
I was so disgusted with them at work I left and came home to sulk.
My neck and upper back is stiff and sore.
I stopped on the way home and fondled a Para P14,45 auto at Guns and Ammo.
fixin to take a 5mg vallium and lay down, got some money to the red cross and Catholic Charaties today and tried to budget 100 for Jerries kids this Monday.
Bills will be 1 week late this week.
Gas was 3 .39 per gallon reg unleaded.
I know a secret plce to git it for just over a dollar, but it a hassle to git it.
You all have a safe week end ,
After I left the shop at the lite my green left turn arrow come on and I was easing out,lo and behold anuther Moran jumped out and almost got me Head on. mite post more on it later ,I am really stiff.

Your back and neck are sore after getting broadsided? You might want to think about getting checked by a doctor. It's not easy to self-assess damage.

Regards.

Don't blow off a sore, stiff neck and back. I had an accident at work, blew it off but did file an accident report. Nothing got better after a couple of weeks and went to see the doctor and to make a long story short, had 5 ruptured discs. I was able to get L&I (workmans comp) because I had filed the report. After a couple of years things are better but not the same and never will be. File the right paperwork and at least protect yourself.

Workmans comp only covers so much for so long and at least in Washington State are a pain in the ass to work with. If you end up with problems that go on longer than they will cover it might not be a bad idea to seek the help of an attorney and see what your options are.

Take care and see a doctor, don't self medicate yourself.

You were in a vehicle accident that caused you pain. Then on the way home in pain you stopped by the gunshop to browse. Not the best judgement in the world, but then you call someone else a moron.

Get to the Dr. I learned the hard way. I ended up needing back surgery just over a year after I was injured at work. I reported, but did not go to the Dr and was unable to find a lawyer that would help me get compensation to cover the cost of my surgery. The ones that say we do not get paid unless you do will only take sure things. It is better to be safe than sorry.

+1, see a doc. One never knows. If you're sore now, your likely to be really hurting tomorrow. Unless you're 19 and bullet-proof, CYA, get a check-up.. BT, DT, glad of it.

4 years ago, I was involved in an auto accident. I was on my way to work on Friday night when a SUV pulled out in front of me. I was taken, by ambulance, to a hospital. The doctor gave me a quick once-over and sent me home. I wasn't feeling any better by Monday so I went to a different hospital for a check up. Found out I had a seperated shoulder, dislocated jaw, 2 broken ribs, a concussion, a sprained wrist, and a sprained knee. I was only doing 35-40 mph when I T-boned the other driver. He broke all his ribs on his left side, broke his arm in 3 places and had a fractured skull. We were both wearing seat belts and both vehicles had air bags that deployed.
The moral of this story is SEE A DOCTOR!!!

I sure hope you got the message. Either go a hospital or "doc in the box" emergency center over this weekend to at least get it reported. For sure, get fully checked out about your physical condition. You are probably going to hurt even more tomorrow.

Hell, at my company they will get pissed at the manager if you are not taken to a doctor for a check up even if everyone is sure you are not injured.
Of course, we operate industrial gas plants and have a vested interest in making sure all things are covered.

By all means, file the paperwork. Report that you are not feeling well and get checked out. If you had done that immediately, your employer should send you somewhere and pay for it. You probably don't want to wait until Monday though.

I take it the drunk driver has nothing worth getting in a lawsuit?

Coors now that you have Valium in your system, a blood test is definitely out of the question.

When you go to the Doctor, don't tell them that you were injured on the job. They will treat you differently if they know they might get involved in a Work Comp case. They will also be more careful about what they put in writing for the same reason. It's very likely that you've been injured more than you know and you may not know all the consequences for months or even years.

I fell off a roof a few years ago and thought I was ok. Three hours later, I was in the hospital with what was diagnosed as multiple sprains. Two years later, I was in constant pain and could barely walk. I now have a real nice titanium and teflon hip. I didn't get rich, but I did get my medical bills paid, which would have been thousands even with insurance.

Also, if you mention that you were injured at work, one of the first things they'll do is a drug screen. Of course that won't matter once your pharmacy verifies your prescription for that valium. ;)

Why not take the drug test? You wrecked in the company van.

But then again, how is this thread really gun related?

I was so disgusted with them at work I left and came home to sulk.

Must not have been in too bad a shape. Go see the doc and take care of bidness. Support local efforts to arrest and prosecute DWI's.

And post a gun-related thread in the future.
