The issues were with about 1 in 10 rds. of the low-powered, cheap Federal Automatch (beige box) and Federal "blue box". ammo.
In two separate cuts , using the Dremel 'stone cone'. Approx. 1/2" total was cut from the Ruger Mark IV (Standard, skinny barrel) spring, >>> which arrived as a Volquartsen "Reduced Power Spring" <<< days ago.
Please note: the standard Volq. "reduced power" didn't help much. Hence the resolve to use some extra initiative.
On the M&P about 1/4" total was removed.
Perfect extraction plus ejection since then with both, using at least 100-150 rds. of both brands of cheap Federal in each.
Perfect feeding also.
