well I might grab a SBL once more cash becomes available. Right now I guess I will just have to settle for my 336 customized by Grizzly arms into an 1895G profile in .35 remington

H20 MAN, I added Wild West triggers, Wild West "bear proof" ejectors, DRC stainless steel magazine followers and one-piece firing pin/spring kits from www.longhunt.com to both of my Marlins in .45-70. I also added XS Lever Rails, XS ghost ring sights and Leupold Mark 4 optics. See, "upgrades" aren't only for M1As, M14s and ARs!! ;)

The Wild West triggers are EXCELLENT and worth every penny. I put together a Wild West trigger installation "how to" a while back since I couldn't find any useful information on the internet.

A DRC or Wild West big loop lever will be next for the Guide Gun and XLR. Maverick, if I pick up a big loop lever for the XLR, I'll just mail you the factory lever at no cost since I wouldn't have any use for it.

:)

I appreciate that 1858, Your a good man...despite what everyone else says. :D I will let you know if and when I pick up the gun (SBL model) as they are a bit hard to come by right now and cash is a bit tight due to the last rifle purchase.

I've noticed more than one Guide gun with that extended magazine tube, but I haven't been able to find anything more about it online. Anyone have a link?

I just picked up a beauty of a 1895 guide gun today. Price was 469.00 but I traded away two guns (henry .22, ruger .17) I had no real intention of using and paid only 60 bucks out of pocket for it. I was happy with the trade.
