Marlin experts needed- 336TS with 18.5" barrel and no cross bolt safety

The 1894c is wearing a Leupold vxii 2.5x in a scout mount. Eye relief is long enough that you clear the hammer, but it does make mounting a problem. It's too long for a conventional mount and really too short for a scout mount.

The 336 on top wears a Burris timberline 2-7x26 compact scope. But it was being put back together at the time of the family photo, and the scope wasn't on it. Lever guns make superb suppressor hosts.

Now you’ve done it! The microgroove cast shooters are going to take issue! FWIW, in my experience, boolits at BHN 12 sized .310 for a 30-30 mg barrel and kept to 1500 fps or less shoot brilliantly. Faster than that yields diminishing accuracy. I have had no luck with hard cast in microgroove barrels, but others may have.
BHN 16-18 and 170 FP cast at 2250 yields equal or better groups than high end factory which is loaded to the same fps in my std type rifled barrel 94. I have used #2 alloy for hunting at the same speeds but the groups aren't as good - last several years I have only used HB which works fine on game and targets. With moly lube and checks you won't get leading with either alloy but groups are better with the harder alloy has been my experiance with pressures over 32kpsi. HB works on up to around 40kpsi then something harder is usually needed to keep groups together. Just my experiance w/std rifling - mirogroove may need harder alloys at lower pressures.

Thank you.
