Massdrop Avispa

I recently got an ESEE Avispa off Amazon. So far, I'm really appreciating the strong but relatively lightweight knife, and its feeling of being sturdy but not clunky.

The standard Avispa is AUS-8, which I think is fine, but Massdrop is currently offering a D2 version for within a couple of bucks of the AUS-8 price.

Massdrop won't even ship them until May 9th. Then they'll used FedEx Smartpost (which is a misnomer, it should be called FedEx dumbpost) which will take 7 to 14 days for delivery. You can get the same knife now from Knifecenter for $38 plus $3 shipping to most locations, that usually takes 3 days. Maybe waiting a month to save $8 is worth it to you, but it's not to me.

Good info...though, 25% of the overall cost is probably worth waiting a month for. (For me, at least.)
