coated of matte blued,if coated than check your PM's,if blued the plating will have to be stripped before it is blued,the coating can go over the plating,it must be grit blasted first,this will destroy the plating.
Better to have the nickle stripped first. Bead blasting may not get it all and then you will have a real mess. I think it could be painted after blasting, but any nickle in the bluing salts will probably kill them dead. Send it out to Black T. Walter will make it look like a lump of coal.
yes,bluing will not stick to plating,win m94's are enough to show this.the coating's that are 120 grit blasted and baked will stick.but if it is to be blued it must be striped.
