Greetings
Does anyone know anything about triggers associated with a Mauser Model 4000?I know Heym made the action and barrels for Mauser and I know the model 4000's are short action in .222 and .223. I have spoke with Heym without any luck; as well as, Timney and Rifle Basix for possibilities, but to no avail. Mauser has not emailed me back, so they probably cannot help either. I found a website that sells the original triggers.
Are these stock triggers adjustable. I have seen an over-travel adjustment and there is an inset (jewelers screwdriver size) screw that might adjust the pull; however, it is so tight I do not know if I could move it without stripping it out. I have a Rifle Basic trigger pull gauge and the trigger in the rifle pops at #6. That is unusually heavy for a varmint caliber! Any suggestions? I would like it to break around #1. Thanks
