Friend showed me his new acquisition - a 5-shot exposed hammer break-top stamped 'Meriden Fire Arms', ser #307302. Sorry no pic and I may never see it again. I've never heard of Meriden, but it looks like an Iver Johnson and appears to be a .32 s&w - possibly black powder? It is in rough condition with flawed timing and I discouraged firing it. Any info at all on this old revolver?

A lot of info there. Fyrberg had a long association with Iver Johnson and designed many of their revolvers as well as the Davis-Warner pistols that that company called "Infallible" (they weren't). Fred Biffar was a Chicago distributor, best known today for selling his Secret Service Special revolver, a gun that was actually made by at least five companies, including Meriden.

Meriden, not Meridian, as the link makes clear, is a city in Connecticut.
