Michigan THR shoot: April 25th: Will You Be There?

Now that the Island Lake shoot is only 4 days away, I thought I'd take a poll to see who is still planning on making it.

I will be there.

Unless its a torrential downpour I'll be there. I'll probably show up a bit early too. Somewhere around 10 or 11AM. Theres someplace I gotta be at 4:00 so I'd like to get in as much time as possible.
ID - I drive a Red and Silver GMC Safari with a Kimber sticker on the back. If I'm already at the range I'll be wearing a Realtree Camo hat with "RUPE" in orange letters on the back. More than likely you'll find me at the 50 yard bench.

Anybody have a .45 glock, or .38 spl snubbie they can bring for me to try?

I did get to meet a THR person at Island Lake last night, but don't know which one of you that is, so tell me, ok? I know your real name but not what you post as here. Wish I could have talked more but things were kind of hectic.

Well I managed to slog through the rain and get my son there too but didn't see many folks out there at all. If anyone from this site was there, I'm sorry we didn't meet. It turned into a father/son day.

Weather was raining a bit even when we left the house but I knew that we would be under a cover if it continued. Turned out to be a pretty good day all in all. Ran around 450 rounds total through a few guns and generally had a good time, nice change of pace.

Hey Barbara, that was me on the 24th. Look for an email from me regarding the website in the near future. It was great meeting all the SAFR folks, and honestly, it was a pleasure being among what felt like kindred gun-totin' spirits.

As for the meetup, do you guys think we could do another one on a nicer day? After seeing how great the IL range is, and how inexpensive it is to boot, I plan on being there quite a bit this summer.

Absolutely.

regretfully, I wasn't able to make it on the 25th. I had a bowling tournament in Erie PA. After 12 games of bowling I kinda torqued my left shoulder. The rain in the AM helped with my decision to let it rest. Bowling season is over so I have no excuse for missing the next one
