I remember these aftermarket sights as a kid in the 80's. Now that I'm 50, my eyes appreciate the sight picture they give. I found a set for my Colt Diamondback and my Taurus 761 has a set of sights that are very similar.

I've been looking for a set for my N frame S&W but can't find any. I know they are out of production, so eBay and the used market are the only options.

Does anyone remember these sights, or better yet, have a lead on a set for me?

They’re great sights. I was fortunate to have put one on my match revolver, an L-frame 686. I think I picked up an N-frame version for a 625 I had at the time, but I never installed it (I think I sold the revolver before I actually got around to installing it).

IIRC, the front of the sight can be squared off or rounded, depending on the age of the revolver, which is one of the things I’d need to check. Is the front of your current N-frame squared off or round?

The tang on my old 28-2 is square.

I have them on two of my Rugers, one a Super Blackhawk, the other a Blackhawk. They are for target/hunting only as they overhang the hammer spur somewhat so I don't have them on my carry Blackhawks.

Here on my Super Blackhawk:

Here an all steel rear sight from Gary Reeder, now no longer made/sold by him:

Maybe a small consideration, but it seems to me the overhang might interfere with my draw in a dire circumstance situation.

Thanks Bob. I won't use it as a CCW gun, just for fun and maybe hunting.

Pops ran one on his 8 3/8 Smith 686.
His IHMSA rig, liked the clicks better over the factory sight.

I was reading through this thread, not paying attention to the usernames of the posters, when is saw that beautiful case hardened Ruger SBH.
I thought to myself, “That looks like one of Bob Wright’s”.
Lo and behold it is.
You have some fine firearms Sir!

But then you are showing a double action revolver. Mine is a Single Action Ruger. Big difference is use.
It was meant as a little tongue-in-cheek, Bob 🙄

Besides, the OP intends on putting on a double action revolver, so in the unlikely event they feel the hammer spur & Millet sight are too close, converting to DAO is an option.

LOL, I just found the orig S&W 686 rear sight yesterday, w a new model round tang S&W sight too.
He must have changed the one on his 617 as well.

Nice stuff, as usual.
I'm a fan of the Super's wide and lower spur though.
May send my SBH to Bowen for a shortening.
5 or 5.5", can't remember which looked better in your pics.

I had one on a pre-29 and loved it. I eventually sold the revolver and haven't ever seen another Millett sight.
Sight picture and adjustments were great.
