With all of the talk here lately of old MILSURP rifles and my own resurgence of interest in the genre, let's see what kind of old C&R and MILSURP long guns are out there. I only have pics of two of mine, as I have some in storage (not for long though!).

Those are some really really nice rifles. Wow. That Enfield would be worth quite a bit today.

I've got about 30 mil-surps so posting pics of all of them here isn't feasible.

My favorites are my three Persian Mausers, but here's a 1942 Finn Sako M39 Mosin Nagant. It has a 3.5 pound trigger pull and is quite nice.

YESSS

THIS is just the thread I needed to post my question on. I am pretty well set int he carbine and cqb departments, but i was thinking about a longer ranged weapon.........
I really want to buy a 98 and place it in that new futurisitc stock.....the whole setup would be about 150$, and I'd have a rifle accurate out to (in theory??) 800 or so yards!!! What do yall think???

The rifle is the "YUGO mauser" on bottom of this page:

and the stock is the futuristic looking guy on bottom of this page:

I have about 30 C&R rifles. Due to their history and generally great accuracy, my favorites are the Finns. Lately I have been concentrating on getting Finn Winter War and Civil Guard rifles. Here are 4 Winter war rifles:

M28 Tikka
M28 SIG
M28/30
M27 Tikka

These 4 used-hard World War 2 rifles shoot under 2" groups at 100 yards with open sights.

Since he asked...

Ok, note the new setting, no red rifle cleaning stand! :D

Seen in the same condition as I found it, in a pawn shop back in 1996:

A couple of DCM M1 Garands...

In a stack with the above 1903A4. The Garand on the left is a Navy Trophy variant from Crane Naval Weapons Depot - fitted with a Marlin barrel:
