Mini 14 barrel chop, threading

Any one chop the barrel on their Mini 14? I have a 184 series that I am having cut to 13", and want to install an A2 flash hider with 1/2-28 threads. The issue I have is the barrel measures .570" where it will be threaded, and it wont leave much of a shoulder for the flash hider. Any advice will be appreciated Oh, I'm building an AC556F clone
I might have to find a Ruger flash hider.

Will the flash hider make the barrel length over the 16 inches you need?

For some reason I didn't think Ruger sold rifle parts
Just ordered up a factory flash hider that dosen't need a shoulder.
