I am looking for a muzzle device for a mini draco. The flash and blast it produces is considerable. I tried an A2. It had a decent reduction on my regular draco but on the mini it had no noticeable effect. I was still blinded by the flash firing it at night.

I am considering the following:

Smith Vortex. I have one on an AR and like it but have never used it on a SBR.

Noveske KX3 (im leaning towards this over a CNC warrior 4 piece because it is lighter and doesn't require an adapter).

I'm interested in peoples experience and/or thoughts on these products for this application.

I put a krink style on my mini draco I love it, reduced it the flash by about 20-25% and barrel rise is nearly non existant.

Yeah, the stuff that the Russians designed for it is usually great, because... well... it was designed for it.

There are a number of flaws with this but I won't go into them.

I have a Krink style brake on my Draco and it does pretty well, I get a distinct V of fire up out of the ports and a little fire ball out the front, but very little recoil. I honestly think the only way to get the flash down on a mini would be a suppressor. That is just way too much powder for that short of a barrel length.

+1 to the Krinkov style, cheap and effective. People claim the "real one" ~$100 are more effective, if so the muzzle would pretty much have to move down with every shot :)

Without the brake, off sandbags, my mini-Draco jumps like a 6" .44Mag with full hous3 240gr loads, with the break recoil was so straight back I skinned my elbows on the bench!
