I'm getting ready to place an order with MBC. I haven't yet starting reloading for the BO. I see they have a 215 gr. FP & 245 gr. RNFP in their lineup. Does anyone have experience with either or both? Any preferences between the two?

These loads will be for target, generally at 50 yds. out of a 8 1/2" barrel. I'm going to try both lubed and coated versions. The LGS I have been getting powders and primers from lately, doesn't carry Accurate powders. So I'm thinking of trying CFE- Blackout or, getting more IMR4198 that I use with 8x57 lead loads.

Any input from your experiences would be appreciated. TIA!

I haven't tried the Missouri offerings but several have on the Blackout forums with good results. When I do, I'll probably start with coated bullets and 1680 out of my 8.5" suppressed B.O.

Yeah, I have read that 1680 is the primary BO powder. After considering the 20 Bhn of Missouri's bullets, I think I will go with the coated, as not to chance leading the barrel or gas tube.

I tried their 215gr bullets and they kept getting caught on my AR feed ramp. I have used 265gr bullets (but not MBC). They have the same profile as the 245 and I have similar issues with the feed ramp, just not as often.

Looking at the pictures on their site, I think I will try the 245 gr., as it looks well rounded compared to the 215 gr.

Was there any certain powder that worked decent for you?

I use IMR 4227. It runs my gun well, but my friend's BO rifle has been struggling a bit. That's still in progress.

I tried the 215s, in a 10.5" barrel. Fed fine, but hit all over the place, I suspect tumbling, but I never confirmed. Ended up selling the gun and most of the bullets.
