[quote="1KPerDay] Got my '58! Here's a quick unboxing/close-up vid for those interested.

I never could do that. When the 'box o' joy' shows up at my house, grabbing a camera to film opening it up isn't even a distant second thought compared to "Open 'er up and get that baby in my hands!"

You'll love that NMA. You"ll love the 5-1/2" model even more.

My favorite quote from your vid: "Oh-ho-ho-ho yeaahhhh" :p

Dang 1k !!!!!!!

You din't even take 'er in the house !!!!
You tore in right there in the drive way !!! lolol
GREAT vid !!!

I must say tho that i would be in big trouble :uhoh: , if i ever opened a new arrival without Janet bein part of the 'delivery'.
NOw i MUST git that 5.5" er ordred.

i am in washington
I figgered that by the zip.
We've pondered comin down yer way a few times for the reptile show but 70 is jist too dangerous for us on a motorcycle with all the knucklehead truck drivers.
If yer ever in our neck drop by and we'll make smoke.

Mmm.. iffin i'm not mistaken, there was an audible low moan er two in there also lol
Yer, clearly unrehearsed and genuine sound effects make that a classic vid 1K :D
In fact, it should a must watch sticky lol

:D BTW while we're on the subject, what's the consensus on using Triple 7 in these? BP is hard to find round these parts. I have some but not enough for comfort. I blew up more than my share as a youth when BP flowed freely as wine. LOL

I asked that same question concerning my ROA's 1K but they are much stronger guns and i don't want to speculate on it's use in the Piettas.Allthough i'd 'spect there aint no problem but i have no clue on charge size. I'd start another thread to find out if i wanted to know.
Mmm.. and i do want to know. Since i'm gittin the 5.5"er.
I'll let you start the thread tho and i'll lurk and learn :D

I really want to get another 5.5" to convert to .45 Colt, but I REALLY want a Ruger Blackhawk 5.5" or 4.62" in .44 Spl.

I think the last one I saw was 2dadsday for $5 shipping but I'm not sure it's still valid. I have a club visa card so I used the free shipping code for that. (CLUBVISA but you have to pay with your, that's right... cabela's club visa ;) )

If you have a cabela's close to you they'll deliver to the store for free. That's what I'm doing for the 5.5"... waiting for the UPS guy is a pain and they require adult sig in person for these.

UPS just dropped the new 1858 off, the 5.5 inch barrel gives this gun great balance, the trigger is super smooth plus the Krist cylinder dropped right in and seems to cycle perfect. Can't hardly wait until Monday to shoot it.

I'd really like to get another NMA 5.5", but I'm about to order a Ruger NMBH in .44 Special.
After that, I'd like to have a Cimarron Thunderer .45 Colt with 3.something inch barrel.
That, or a Cimarron 7.5" barreled SAA .45 Colt.
Or maybe a Ruger NMBH .45 Colt/.45 ACP convertible.
