I hope the moderators will indulge me a little. I think it's very important that this gets seen.

April 28 is the one-year anniversary of the Minnesota Citizens Personal Protection Act, which made Minnesota a shall-issue state.

We'll be there...

* to celebrate,
* to remind the legislature that we are still watching,
* to give a little "nyah-nyah" to the antis who predicted all sorts of mayhem -- from bar fights turning into shootouts to road rage turning into shootouts to the state fair turning into a shootout -- well, you get the idea.
* and of course, to eat birthday cake! (Yes, really!)

How cool would it be if, alongside the usual dozen whiny MMMommers, there were a few hundred of us?

Please check out the full details on this thread: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=75666

or visit http://www.mcppa.info

And if you can help pass out flyers at your favorite gun store, club or range, drop me a line.

Thanks!

P.S. Iowa and Wisconsin folks are very welcome!

P.P.S. Maybe we can all go to the range after the rally?

During the debate in the legislature, anti leader Wes Skoglund wore a bulletproof vest in the senate chamber.

Does anyone know where I can get a photograph? I'd love to bring it to the rally.

Thanks, and spread the word.

I will be featuring some Oleg- and Oleg-inspired posters at the rally :)

I will be there.

If you plan on carrying at the capital don't forget your notification letter and your permit.

Oh yeah, and your gun.:D

Great!

I've posted flyers at Frontiersman, Outdoorsman, GunStop, and will head to Bill's tonight.

Joel will post flyers at the Oakdale club and the Burnsville range, at the Gun/PAwn shop in Bloomington and at Koswzckwzci's. (...Or however you spell that!)

Where are we missing? Is Moon Valley open?

Oh, and it has been suggested that we hit every lamppost within three blocks of the Star Tribune. :)

Not yet. If you arew a member of either, please feel free to spread the word!

Here's the text version:

or call organizer Joel Rosenberg at (612) 824-3150

The anti's just registered to hold a counter demonstration down the street(remember it's at noon and none of the "pink ladies" work).

PLEASE ATTEND. WE NEED A LARGE, COURTEOUS SHOWING. IT"S WORTH TAKING TIME OFF WORK FOR THIS EVENT!

Shirts and ties, please! Or at least "business casual."

And in the words of Mr. Rork, "Smiles! Smiles, everyone!"

Let's kill `em with kindness!

I congratulate those who worked so hard in Minnesota to restore their rights. You have truly earned the right to celabrate!

Now if we could just get organized with the same skill and passion here in Wisconsin we might have a chance. I am truly envious of the organization, planning and plain hard work from you folks. Most of the time you wouldn't even know there is a concealed carry movement here in Wisconsin.

Enjoy. You have earned it.

Jeff

I will go. If you need me to pass out anything, anywhere, just ask. You already passed out flyers to all of the places that I go to.

Here's a sign I plan to make. What do you think? Any edits?

=====================
Permits issued: 17,249
Permit holder road rage shootings: 0
Parking space shootings: 0
State Fair shootings: 0
Finding out that law-abiding citizens
are... well, law abiding: Priceless.
=====================

Matt, maybe have the amount of money for some of the things like the commercials:

17,249 Minnesota Permits to Carry: $1,724,900.00
Number of permit holder road-rage shootings: 0
Number of permit holder parking-space shootings: 0
Number of State Fair shootings: 0
Finding out that law-abiding citizens are... well, law abiding: Priceless.

Of course, the only thing that cost money was the permit. :D

I like the sign, Matt. And I will be there on Wednesday. I'm looking forward to it! There are quite a few folks such as Joel Rosenberg that have done quite a bit to get us where we are that I have not met yet.

Just under 72 hours . . .

... until the birthday party.

Some updates on my livejournal .

As others have said, it's important to show up. Please do; bring yourself, bring your friends, bring the kids, bring the press.

We're gonna have some fun with the "Citizens for a Safer Minnesota."

Trust me.

Trust him.

The Antis will be sending buses to nursing homes and kindergartens to bolster their numbers.

Don't let them win. If you carry in Minnesota, or if you just approve of freedom, you owe these folks the courtesy of an hour of your time.

Please come.

Tomorrow is the day. The Star Tribune has even committed to sending a reporter.

Minnesota shooter, we need you to be there!

Had to take a vacation day from work, just so I could drive up from Mankato and see ya all.

I hope we have a good turn out, I really hate to waste a vacation day. :(

Can't be there as I'll be in Fargo North, Decoder on biz. Idea for a sign however:

When Citizens Decide to Pack It,

Politicians Would be Wise to Back It,

Silly Dems Wear a Flak Jacket.

Maybe that's too much verbage for a sign. Never mind!
