Looked at 3 model 12s yesterday.
1. Model 12 nickel steel 28" 12 gauge marked "CYL" on plain barrel. Im told this is rare.
SN is 1697xx. Dates to 1919, looks to be professionally refinished, inside of takedown in in the white (and very tight), dark blue, stocks probably replaced as well with pachmayr white line pad.
Beautiful gun.
2. 16 gauge, proof steel 28", mod barrel, 90% condition. Honest wear, not reblued. Aftermarket pad.
3. 20 gauge 28" full barrel, nickel steel plain barrel, possible refinish like above.
I bought one of these today, may go back and pick up another. I've been on a mod 12 kick lately, bought a shooter last week cheap, and now I'm in love with these almost as much as my A5s.
Local dealer got these in an estate collection and is selling for a court. Has a late 40's 42 as well, but I can't get close to buying price. Did get to fondle it today. Very Happy
Which 2 would you get?
