I have a model 54 Winchester .270 serial #47000 manufactured in 1935. After looking at numerous pictures of similar rifles, I have not found a stock like the one I have. It is dissimilar in that it has two triangles cut in stock in the area of action. These triangles seem to have been filled with something. any ideas?
