Does anyone have any information on the Mohawk-48 12 gauge shotgun?I am looking to see if any parts such as the barrel or other parts are interchangeable with the Remington 1100. A value on this shotgun would be helpful also. It is in fair condition, previous owner used it as a knock around shotgun.
Thanks in advance for any input.

If I recall correctly that is a variation of the 11-48 which is a long recoil operated shotgun. That means the barrel recoils with the action. 1100 uses a fixed barrel, so no they do not interchange.

Nothing interchanges with the 1100. Might have some parts interchanged with the Model 11 (it's predecessor) and the 11-48 (it's descendant), both of which are long recoil action.

I bought my Sportsman 48 for $250. Good condition, just a large scuff on the shoulder stock. Its going pheasant hunting next weekend.

I was kind of hoping the stock from an 1100 would fit. I haven't seen an 1100 stock so I posted the question. I have seen barrels for them but I don't think the shotgun is worth putting $160 into the barrel then pickup a stock!

The butt stock will interchange with an 1100, or 870 in the same gauge. The forearm is specific to the 48 and 11-48.

I have read about the butt stocks on the 1100 and 870's being able to fit the Mohawk on the internet but wanted to ask here to get the opinion from the learned community...
Thanks all for the input.
