Alright, I know these knives are made in the USA, with carbon steel. I've heard people say good things about them, but they are relatively unknown to me. I've taken a look at their catalog, and always assumed they were byond my price point. Well, it looks like I assumed wrong. They have several very reasonably priced knives. The specific model I'm looking at is their Roper's knife.
(plain edge for me, of course)
Sure, it's not a traditional slipjoint, but it does have yellow handles and more importantly, 1095. It also has a thumb hole. I don't really like these for very fast one handed opening, but I can't find a 1095 lockback in my price range with a clip besides this one. My birthday is coming up, and I might just have to ask for this.
So, who here has experience with Moore Maker? Good, bad, ugly? Sharp, or dull? Durable, or break at the drop of a hat?
Other models I find interesting:
Lockback
Small Hunter
Punchblade Stockman
And, for SM:
Peanut
and a shorter One-Blade Trapper
(Yes, it locks, but also has a backspring)
