Interesting Bent Bolt Mosin Nagant - Identify??
Just found this at an antique store in a glass case with other misc. military items for $15. It's a bent bolt MN assembly, but it is NOT the standard sniper bent bolt - too short and not a 90-degree bend. It IS longer by about 0.5" than the standard straight bolt handle, and bent down about 35-40 degrees. It works well in my '43 Izzy laminated 91/30.
I saw some Finnish bolts on M27's that it resembles the most. The stamped S/N is 182024 and appears to be an Izhevsk, and I see no evidence of heating and the arsenal stamps are still evident on the sides near the base of the handle, hence it doesn't look like it was "Bubba'd" from what I can tell.
Any ideas on what this came off of??? Thanks, GNG
