Mossberg 590A1 with 835 barrels?

I am having a dilema here trying to decide on the mossberg 590A1 or the mossberg 500. I realize that the mossberg 500 18" would be much easier to convert to a field gun, as I can only have one shotgun for my hunting and defense gun right now. My question is, will the 590A1 18" shotgun be able to use the 835 28" field barrels?

Do i really need the 590A1 over the 500 for a general hunting, camping, truck gun, and defense weapon?

Buy the 500 field model with 28 inch barrel. Then but a 590 20 inch barrel and mag tube. Now you have a great field gun and a 8+1 home defense beast.
