Please forgive my apparent ignorance, but I just recently dug my Mossy out of the safe, and I have a question about the 24" smoothbore Slugster barrel that I found hiding in the corner. Is it OK to shoot regular shotshells through the Slugster? I've searched all over, looking for an answer, and can't find one (can't find the manual, either!). I don't think there would be a problem, as I'm assuming that the Slugster is just choked differently than the 28" VR that's on the gun now; I'd just like to see the answer in print. TIA for any replies.

yes, you can shoot shotshells out of it.

The slugster barrel is likely cylinder bore, so shotshells won't have a tight pattern. It will be safe to shoot them though.

Welcome GeeThirty,

Yes you can shoot shotshells with no problem in a smoothbore slug barrel. It will have probably cylinder bore in it, or possibly a little choke.

Thank you for the replies, Fumbler and kudu. I figured that it would be OK to use shotshells in the Slugster, but I just wanted to double check and make sure.

(kudu...thanks for the welcome, too!)
