Most never know just how many different Mossberg models inter change on parts. Like 195 , 185, 190, the stock parts are the same. trigger ass. small parts. As a guy that knows, I've been helping others for yrs, not to spend big money on that exact part... As a general rule in a series "You can go up but never down"! Example you have a 185 broken stock, there is none to find but a 190. Yes you can put it in it. It will maybe require a little file work to perfect set it in. All that depends on when they were made? With factory changes, comes a little more checking. 300, 400, 500, can fit a 695 stock. But as I said a little parts change maybe needed , The magazine lever will be to short. So this leaves you 3 options. 1) cut out the back of the 695 stock for the short lever. 2) get a 695 magazine lever. 3) cut the bottom out of the 695 stock where the magazine go's. Now Victor doe's that for you. Now if you are on a small $ fix, a 595 stock will work as well! Wood over plastic. Now a Maverick 95, is the same as a Mossberg 595 or 695, as in the receiver , but the barrels are different. The stocks will interchange. I have made up a few 695 in a 95 stock. No mags to mess with! Also 385, 395, 495, 595 series in a 595 or 695 stocks. Tang bolts are a different story! older series have longer tang bolts, so you either add washers or get the correct tang bolt for that stock. If you are good with tools, you can play smith and cut longer ones to fit. Over the yrs I've seen many sell or chuck those old parts! Because no one knew or told them about being able to change things out...I hope this helps a few out there get that old favorite up and working...

Think numrich used to have a cross reference for the parts, but yea most of the small stuff will fit a good number of them. I have away my last Mossberg bolt 20ga to a friend early this year, as a kid is have dad buy them for me out of the Rubbermaid garbage cans most shops used to have. Think I had 15-16 before I was 18 lol. There great Turkey or rabbit guns, I've had a few break stocks tho so that seems to be the weak point I've found with them.

Hey, I'm glad this post helped. When I started yrs ago info was hard to find and most never thought to upgrade. In my case kids and a wife helped me pick old Mossberg's for a trainer deer gun.
