A few yrs ago I had a fire, it wrecked most of my guns. To that end I stared rebuilding those that could be. The hardest part is finding parts now, if you do they think they are gold! So, I put a great effort on 695's above all else. I rebuilt over half so far, Havlin parts, midway, Numrich , broker, ebay and a few others carry the stocks and some parts. Now getting a old wooden stock is like finding gold, especially in great shape! I duracoated them, new stocks, etc. It doe's help that I know a lot about them. I'm on a quest so to speak of finding parts, mainly trigger assemblies and stocks. If you know of any pls let me know? For those that have them, either one is great for deer! I like the 695t camo most, because it can use any 12 gauge ammo to a point. I have made those 150 yard shots in wind and snow, open and with scope. Like many, I couldn't pass one up! I started more than a few on their deer hunting with a old 185ka, many to this day still use them over a new pump or auto. I see that many use the 695 bolt action to build a big bore, I myself thought the same. If I learned anything , that is where to find stocks. Any advise or ideas are always welcome.
