I recently purchased a Mossberg 500 tactical cruiser and was surprised that it did not have a front sling stud on it when it came. I emailed Mossberg's customer service and got a reply with the part numbers and to call customer service to order the parts. I called customer service and gave them the part numbers I needed, he obtained my information and then without any prodding by me said they would mail me the parts at no charge. Just sending out an attaboy to them:)

Same here. I got a new magazine tube from Brownell's for my 500 that also didn't have the stud. I called Mossberg's customer service and they sent me one free of charge.
Attaboy +1.

Perhaps they should have put them in in the first place though
Amen. I pointed that out in my email, I would think anything they call "tactical" should have 'em. At least they took care of it instead of saying 'too bad, so sad'. Who knows, they may have had a run that got out without them.

My Mossberg 930 SPX had no way to attach the front of the sling. I found out a sling plate for the Remington 870 works just fine though :)

Hmm...I found my stud in a vanilla envelope. I thought it was missing too.

My extractor came flying off after I shot maybe 15 rounds with my new Mariner 500. I sent the gun back to Mossberg and It came back fast enough and they even added a free "bonus wooden dowel." Hahaha. They are pretty good people at Mossberg.

I have a 930SPX that started having feed issues. I found some blogs talking about weak mag springs (and Mossberg even acknowledging the spring issue), and emailed Mossberg about it. I received a reply that they would need me to send in my shotgun for inspection. I replaced the spring and follower with Nordic Components parts and everything worked great. I have always heard good things about Mossberg CS, but was not impressed with the way they handled my situation when all my shotgun needed was a new spring at the very least.

Perhaps they figured that they should give the whole thing a good once over so that you had no further problems?

My M500 didn't come with the sling studs, got those for free. I wanted some Mossberg stickers.. got those for free too! :)

I called almost a year ago, for a 500 manual (I had no printer at the time, and I like reading them... I also used to read the cereal box while I was eating as a kid, though so maybe I'm weird).

Still haven't received it. Have no need for it now. But the guy was hesitant to send it to me, and kept trying to refer me to the mossberg owners club thats near me. I also was unfamiliar with the Slugster barrel, and he could not provide me any info on it...

However, I now have a 590 that is setup like a 590A1, and was thinking about calling them to try to obtain a metal trigger guard, and see if the 590A1 is a 8+1 like the 590, or if there was a different tube spring I needed for that extra round, as most folks say the 590A1 is 9 shot.

One thing can be said, they make excellent guns. They may not be the prettiest, nor hold the best resale value, but they shoot well, hold up forever, and are easy to service. I love my 500 and 590. I don't get all the "love" for the Remmy 870 for a few hundred more.
