How good of a deal is a mossberg pump with pistol grip? I don't know the model but it was 130 dollars. Looks like a Mossberg 500 Cruiser but not sure.

That's a pretty good price for one in my area. They tend to run about $150 for a used one. You might want to consider getting a stock for it. PGs are a little rough to shoot.

I'd buy it. Sounds like a good price. Cruiser models average $209-$219 in my area (NIB).

You sure its a Mossy, and not a Maverick (sp?). They are put out by Mossberg, and are around $100-$150. But I don't ever remember seeing one in PG. If it is a Mossberg, then that sounds like a really good price.

While not a high price I think you can do better. Unless you realy want a pistol grip model you will end up sticking more money into it with a butt stock purchase. By the time you do that it sure won't be a bargin - at least not in my part of the world.

:)

Mattd ,

Oviously Wal-Mart doesn't --- if it's the pistol grip that is the most appealing to you and you don't want a regular shoulder stock , then plunk down the $130 as it is a fair price.

Many find the pistol grip only shotgun a problem to shoot and unpractical outside of Hollywood . The point being that most would either want to , or end up changing to a standard butt stock for a lot of their shooting. By the time one would purchase the stock seperately the cost would be up at a level where you could buy a new Mossy just about anywhere making the $130 original cost no bargin & perhaps even a bit high .

If the gun in question has a "stock with a pistol grip" - that's a different matter, and the price would be very good at $130.
