Or just get a stainless model and have it coated after the fact. thats what I did. Wanted a Kimber Eclipse but didn't want a "Kimber"... so i just did my springfield loaded to match the Eclipse

I don't think it's all that odd. The gun is an elegant looking cross between the CZ-75 and the SIG P210. They're not only beautiful autoloaders, but very ergonomic and practical. I have one, and I absolutely love the thing. The only beef I have with it is the nomenclature: "AR" for the original Armalite company, stood for "Automatic Rifle". I can understand why the present company would want to use the same tag for product identification, but still, naming a pistol, essentially, "Automatic Rifle twenty four" just seems ridiculous.

I've always thought that was a little silly as well. I guess they wanted to take advantage of the AR fame to help sell the gun. CZs are becoming continually beautiful to me. I find Glocks to be quite handsome, in a simple/refined sort of way.

I paid $175. A local shop has a "Guy" who they use to refinish pistols. The coating is "Cerakote" and its awesome!... Its almost Glock Tennifer like. Im very happy with the quality of job and quality of the material used. The shop is "nagles" in san antonio

I've owned BHPs and 1911s, and they're both wonderful weapons. But for pure aesthetics, it's hard to beat the Luger. I'm surprised there are so few of us who think so.

I am speaking for myself but I find it hard to love and admire anything that had to do with the Nazi era. To me, the Luger was the epitome of the German rule. As much as I love the Hi Power, i would not think of owning one from that era. It's creepy, to me.

For all their shortcomings, I do have to say that the grips on a Hi Point fit my hand very well. Much better grips than I have held on guns several times their price.

Not mine, but my g/f has one similar. Nice little thing to shoot, but a bit picky on the ammo.
