ArchAngel,
Putting 35 Remington on your list kinda surprised me... not disagreeing with you, mind you. But I can't think of a single person in my area to own a 35 Remingtion.... pretty rare caliber down here in the SE.
Only reason I have bothered checking was because once I wanted to get a Thompson Contenter pistol in 35 Remington...
Down here, I'd say that it looks a lot like:
30-06
270
308
7mm
30-30
A lot of us own stuff like 7.62X39, 5.56, and 300 WM, but not a lot of hunting goes on with those.
I've considered using hunting rounds in 7.62X39 for a brush round (read: less than 30 yard shot.) 5.56 isn't legal to hunt with in my state, and 300 WM is quite frankly too large for most of the deer around here... if you still want some meat.
Probably ought to add to the list just for fun some non-30 calibers-ish rounds:
22 rimfire.... EVERYONE here has at least one
12 gauge.... EVERYONE has at least one
20 gauge.... there is a loyal following to this shell.
243.... used a lot for youth's first rifle around here... and for the wife often
25-06... same as above
