Most Detailed Reloading in a Movie Award?

Post #11 is the exact scene that popped into my mind as well! If I remember right, Lancaster wasn't reloading, he was actually pulling bullets out and adding more powder then putting the bullets back in....to make longer range ammo for his Sharps.

Even though Im not a TC-fan, I actually liked the Jack Reacher movie,

The gun-play was pretty realistic, nobody running thru endless clips firing at people,

But the BEST part was the car chase where they pees-pounded that 70' Chevelle !!

Walking Dead

One of the last episodes of this season for Walking Dead had a few shotshell reloaders on a table surrounded by Tyrese and a few others at Woodbury. Looked like MEC jr's.

I think there was some reloading in one of the Bronson Death Wish movies for his Wildey

Yup...Death Wish 3. He was using an RCBS press.
That was the one with the gangs in New York. Also showed a scene where the cops take a resident's gun and say something like "only we need guns" or some such nonsense

CharlieDeltaJuliet: "..still trying to figure out why almost ALL movies show "unfired"?ammunition with spent primers."

What really kills me is when they do a close up on BLANKS after a shootout!

Jstein650, I know, I know..... Or at the beginning of The Punisher movie with Ray Stevenson, it zooms in on the weapons and clearly shows a Walther P22S. Which maybe most don't know that the "S" suffix means a blank firing version... Little stuff like the spent primers on "unfired" shells and the crimped blank cartridges bothers me... If you spen a couple hundred million on a movie, you would think they would want it absolutly as flawless as possible.... Oh well, that's Hollywierd for ya...

I seem to recall a scene in Jaws were the sheriff reloads 357 on a Lee SS. And then he seals cyanide in the tip of the HP's with candle wax. Or maybe that's my imagination. :)

This has been a fun thread on what was done 'Right'; it would be a very long thread indeed on what's been done WRONG.
I remember a fairly recent movie involving a good bit of reloading for an assassin. Then when he goes to dry-test his loads talks about such-and-such round going so many MPH! MPH!?!? Now, one doesn't need to be an expert to know that we don't refer to MV in MPH! Man, my heart just dropped, as otherwise, it was a pretty decent movie. :(

I think it was Reba McEntire with the main character in that scene.
Reba tried at the beginning of her career to be a liberal anti gun type of person. She had the gun turn in for ticket offers at her concerts. The one in Denver produced 2 guns. Her agent/manager must have told her that the gun/hunting demograph was her fan base and it would be wise to stroke them the right way. Then shortly after that she was in Tremors.

Funny fact, The Tulsa Gun Emporium that used to be on 9th and memorial was giving anybody with a Reba tape, album or CD 10% off any gun purchase to turn it in. They had hundreds of them buddy. Then they took them to the range and shot them up.

Hard for me to visualize Cruse playing a 6' 6", 260 pound Reacher.

Yeah, I read the books first too. When I heard who was playing the part I thought the same thing. You think of the physique of Reacher and you think of someone like Dolph Lundgren or The Rock playing the part. Then you realize they suck as actors.
Cruise isn't as big as the character in the book, but he played a good part.

Dwayne Johnson is a much better actor than Lundgren. Not as good as Cruise though.

Sons Of Anarchy had the Indians on reservation running a progressive, ammo factory for resale.

Seems like I remember a scene in a movie long ago, where some guy drilled out some bullets, filled them with mercury, then soldered them closed again. Was that one of the Death Wish movies?
