Most oddball cartridge you load for?

I don't have the Contender anymore, but it was a 7MM TCU. I had trouble getting a bang until I started fire forming brass by shooting 223 to get the headspace right and started using Winchester primers. If you set the shoulder back much it would not go bang. The headspace was critical. Nice round, but if I had another Contender it would be a 7-30 Waters.

I have to reload for my Remington Model 14 in 32 Remington. Redding is the only company that makes dies, I think they cost $70 +. The loaded shells and brass are now considered obsolete. The chambers in the rifles vary, so you have to fire form the brass. I used MBC coated 32-20 flat nose bullets seated 15 thousands longer than the chamber so they contact the lands of the rifling and push the casing against the breech block. Then about a 80 % load of Trail Boss. Without fire forming, my primers backed out. Then trying to find a bullet with the cannelure in the correct location. You can't just load the bullet longer, because there is a maximum cartridge over all length . Too long and the cartridge will jam in the tube magazine. So the fire formed loading has to be loaded one at a time to prevent jamming in the tube. Hornady 170 flat nose and 170 flex tip for the Win 32 Special have the cannelure too far back to crimp. The Speer 170 grain bullet's cannelure has the correct placement IF you trim the brass to the minimum length. So my 32 Remington is somewhat Oddball.

7x68 Askins.I doubt if many rifles are chambered for the cartridge.I only know of two.

I don't have them now but back in the good old days I loaded for 221 Fireball, 257 Rob, and 308 Norma. The 257 was last year but the Fireball and Norma was a long time ago.

Not really unusual, but of all the cartridges I load, the 7.5x55 Swiss is about as exotic as it gets.

I love the trigger(s) on your 'Newt'. Any photos of a loaded shell vs. a .30-06?
Here's a .30 Newton, on left, with a .30/06. OAL for both is about the same, but the Newton is a fatter case with more capacity. Velocity with 180 gr bullets is midway between '06 and .300Win. Mag.

Oh, since a few have mentioned it, I'll add the Russians 7.62x39 and 7.62x54r as well. I've loaded for the x39, but haven't for the x54r yet. Another one that I have brass, dies, components for, but just haven't loaded yet. The x39 is used in my SKS and in my ARSKI x39 upper for my AR. ARSKI doesn't like the steel case fodder too much, so have to feed it my reloads.

All my “rarities” someone has already named... .454 Casull, .45 Super, . 257 Roberts, 6.5x55. Others aren’t quite rare but not on every store shelf like .300 Weatherby, .45 Colt and .35 Rem.

I don’t load for the 16 or 28 gauges or they’d be added.

Stay safe!

My current one are 256 Newton, 240 Gebby Super Varminter(AKA 6mm-06) and 9.3x57 plus 8x57 with oddball dimensions. Larger than "S" bore. Also BP cartridges 40-65; 45-90 and 45-110. Being retired allows a bunch of this stuff. It was no big problem to build a stock of Roberts brass just a few years back. The modern world had poor taste. Forgot about my .222 Magnum.

There's a 1916 Newton 30-06 in parts soaking here. Some work needed to undo Bubba. Thankfully nothing serious. Need gunsmith. Suggestion appreciated via private mail.
