Mouse (sized) guns - pics!

No pictures (everyone's seen them anyway), but the ultimate "mouse guns" are (in order):

* Beretta 950BS (.25ACP)
* Kel Tec P-32 (.32ACP)
* Kel Tec P3AT (.380ACP)

Honerable mention to NAA guns (most varities) and really old Colts & Brownings.

Anything greater than 12 ounces and unable to to fit in the palm of the hand is not a "mouse gun".

Mouse Guns?

This thread can continue no longer without this picture!

It's been posted here on THR before, but I don't know it's real (Photoshop?) origins.

Obviously a fake. :rolleyes:

No way a smart little mouse is gonna carry a gun with a trigger reach that much too long. He probably carries a pocket pistol that fits his little hand better.

Yet another case of a photog posing a shot for better "proportionality" or whatever artsy-fartsy term they use. :cuss:

The discontinued Iver Johnson TP22 pistol. A cheap Walther clone made in 22 and 25 ACP (TP25) it is very small. Even with the mag extension I can only get two fingers on the grips. Despite size and very low cost (my wife bought this for me as a Christmas present and I think she paid $125 brand new) it has been very reliable. It does bite my hand, though.

Here's a .32ACP Beretta Puma

And a .380 Colt Hammerless

In retrospect, these two are closer to portly hamsters then mice.

Old mouse.

1922 era Colt Vest Pocket .25 Pistol, carried in that holster by a little old lady for 40-odd years. Which explains the heavy wear on the bluing. You can still see case coloring on the trigger and grip safety.

I had to replace the mainspring and guide rod to make it work, (you cannot beleive how long that spring is and what a bear it is to get it back together with gun oil on your hands) and I can assure you that this little gun can hit an orange at 25 feet.

The vest pocket .25 appears many times in Chandler's books, usually carried by some damsel in distress. I thought "The Little Sister" was an apt title for this old pony.

Mice Guns?

I guess the only mouse gun I have (truly) is my KT P-32 which is eeasy to carry and fun to shoot). Maybe my Bersa Thunder .380 is a borderline mouse gun as it fits in my shorts pocket (although kinda big for dress panst or jeans).

Question is, with the crop of small .32's out there, is there really any need to go any smaller, cartridge wise?

Here is my Belgian version of the Dr. Rob's gun, a Browning 1906 .25. I'm not sure of it's actual age. Still a neat little piece. It fascinates me that a working semi-automatic pistol can be made so small.
