Moved my de-capping and cleaning operation.

I sure wish they would come up with a better way to reference the adjustments for different cartridges on the case feeder. I have a Dillon case collator feeding my Lee APP and APP Deluxe, but the stand bolt which sets the height for the case feed tube is about as rinky-dink as it could be. I've been thinking about staking or welding a few nuts onto allthread shanks to set the height for different cartridges to make the change overs quicker. But there has to be a better way to have connected that part - certainly a better method with repeatable and easily referenced height settings. Kinda feels like they just slapped that on in the 11th hour after they'd designed everything else.

I should start a thread "what hobbies occupie your loading bench"....
Sewing machine refurbishing. Old Singer’s mostly - treadle and hand crank, plus a few tailed machines. Love the slant needles. 😁

Funny thing about that. Many years ago I was in the pawn shop where I setup a pre-internet point of sale and traded my time for guns. I was telling the owner about my wife using old Singer treadle machines and about how many we had found really cheap. I guess a passerby overheard. This guy comes rushing over, “You have TEN Singers?! Would you be willing to sell one? I’ve been looking for ages!”

He thought I meant Singer 1911’s. :what::rofl:

And that's what happens when you only hear part of the conversation, great story.

It the past I have utilized the parts that come with their conversion kits for the actual feeding, not just the tube filling part. Like on my annealer. Until the case is base down in my machine, its all stuff that Dillon made and just drops into my machine.

I don’t have any issue with connectivity to get the Dillon to feed the APP’s, but rather the specific fixture which indexes the feed tube to the cartridge shuttle feeder, which is part of the App, how the tube from the Dillon feeder connects to the press and holds the feed tube relative to the press shuttle is standing on a simple bolt with lock nuts to adjust height. It’s rinky-dink. I get it - they made it cheap and easy, but it’s not fast and it’s not readily able to be referenced for resetting back and forth among different cartridges.
