I do not shoot on the move. I move off-line, draw while moving, but I stop before shooting.

My outdoor club allows drawing, moving, and shooting while moving.

I suggest that those who do not have a place that will allow that should practice at home with an empty firearm.

Here are two of my movers.

One is a pvc setup on wheels that allows IPSC or IDPA targets.

Notice the rings on both axles. You clip a rope to them, run them around a pulley on each end, and then another pulley farther back. Then the ropes, with D rings, clips to your belt so if YOU move to the right, the target moves to the left (and vice versa). You can also unclip one of them and then you move forward (or backwards) and the mover moves.

The small radio controlled HUMMER can take a target and one can shoot the target as it moves. Works best on a non-windy day!

I do it on occasion, but it has to be done on a completely open shooting bay. I'll admit it...it is pretty hard - and I only shoot at stationary targets while moving.

I'm lucky that I own my own range out back, so I get to practice movement almost every session; either lateral or FWD/Backward and angles. I like doing a movement "box" drill at varying speed, mostly "rapid duck walk".

I also have the normal "props" to set up IDPA stages.

When I have the guys over, we always work movement because most of them can't work movement unless it's in a match (our IDPA club does shoot on move, not stop-shoot). About 90% is engaging a target while moving to/from cover.

After working the Tueller Drill during a class, I built my own "people powered mover" that works FWD/backward and laterally. I set up posts on my range with pulleys for the lateral movement and flip the target stand around:
