The 38 Super is a stepchild so even the ammo boxes are the 38/357 ones. They are so deep that empty cases fall out of the slots if turned upside down. I cut a couple of spacers from corrigated plastic and stuck them to the inside of the lid with rubber cement.

You can snap the lids on/off the MTM's and mix and match the tops and bottoms. So you can get 16 combinations. And if you snap the lid off, the pistol cases work great for rifle loading blocks. 9mm for 223 and 45ACP for 308 or 30-06 based cases.

I like Frankford Arsenal better than either. Been using the same ones for 15yrs and have yet to break one. Already tossed a couple MTM's.

I have a few but I won't buy more. MTM changed their design and it no longer stacks as well as it used to. Now at the gun shows I try to buy old used ones to fill out my needs.

only problem with plano is u have to shift bullets to get lid to shut(at least on 44 spec)
