Our local Boy Scout Camp (Southwest Florida Council BSA) is hosting an NRA Muzzle loading rifle instructor course over the October 25-27 weekend. Instructor candidates must be 18 years old or older. Participants can camp there during the classes, meals are provided as well as guns and supplies. This is about 20 miles from the Ft. Myers, Florida "regional southwest" airport. The cost is $120. A NRA instructor rating is required of Scout leaders to supervise a muzzle loading rifle shoot at Boy Scout ranges and would prepare you to actually teach the NRA muzzle loading rifle class. The instructor/Training Counselor for this course is absolutely one of the best. He will cover everything from matchlocks to minie'-balls and you get to shoot most of them too.
