The only ything that could have made it better would be if I didn't have to pay for it. SWMBO allowed me to get the Bushmaster BAR-10. I've wanted this rifle for a long time and was starting to think I'd never have one being the discontinued production. I'll do some better pics and a range report soon.

Congrats on the new rifle!

I would suggest getting a spare bolt or two. There have been enough reports of broken bolts that I personally would have a couple in the spare parts bin, especially since Bushmaster has discontinued the model. They may have the parts for a long time, and would probably fix any problem you have, but I tend to be a "better safe than sorry" type of guy.

I've heard a few reports about the bolts breaking. I've also heard that the problem is rare. I guess I'll find out soon enough. If there is a problem I'm confident that Bushmaster will take care of it. They have been great with my M-forgery AR. That's part of what led me to their 308 instead of some others. If the weather co-operates I'm suppose to get to the range on Wednesday.

Right on! I went to the range today with my 10FP I got for Christmas and everyone was there with their new toy. Lots of kids with .22's, a guy with a .308, and Davey Crockett with his Kentucky Rifle. It was a good time. Enjoy!
