There are Millions of Old Colts needing a home! with Boomer off loading there collections… Get the Real Colt! hand fitted and smooth like ice
Wow, what a bummer
I have a new KC that doesn’t hit POA and now I’m debating even attempting to have colt adjust it or just offload it. It’s a beautiful piece of machinery so it’s sad to hear their CS is terrible. If I’d had known I wouldn’t have traded my SP101 for it. I guess that colt 1911 I was going to get is off the table now.
doesn’t CZ own Colt now? If so, I wonder if reaching out to CZ about the colt customer service has any merit…
To be fair, consider it's like Colt is having to rediscover their DA revolver manufacturing methods now that they've returned to making them. New designs and manufacturing methods.
1 year warranty? wow that’s a short period. I don’t shoot guns sometimes for years after I buy it. High Point has a better warranty cost like 1/8th the priceI just found that their old [email protected] email is still valid. Of course they don't mention it on their support page. I emailed them and got an automatic reply back.
This screenshot here shows an interesting part about a "Service Agreement" for firearms that are out of warranty, assuming the issues are due to manufacturing defects.
I'm hoping mine falls under that. I mean there's countless reports online of this part breaking.
I mean at this point I feel like there should be a recall.
I’m new to Colt, but I think it would be $3k-$5k to build guns like the use to. The action on old Colt revolver are as good as a Korth. They did a accuracy comparison between a Colt Officer Match and a Korth. Colt ran circles around the German Korth. Let me find the video. This makes me sick. Colt used to be a good company. People are still very brand-loyal (including me). It's sad to see the decline in quality and customer service.
you also have to put into account who the driver is! I’m mostly a bus driverMark Mark,
In the video lead ammo was used and no discussion came
up about the differences in rifling twist between the
Colt Officer and Korth.
Without knowing the details. I'd say the Colt was set up for
lead ammo and the Korth for jacketed magnum ammo.
Or to put it in automotive context, which car runs better on
regular gas and which on high test.
I dismiss his boring video out of hand because of its
superficiality.
here’s the video:
I got a Officer Match coming in any day now! perfect condition in the Oak display box. $800!Having owned both, I'd say that was an outlier, nor normal
i’m going to wait till they have a longer warranty, lifetime is standard for gun in that price rangeI'm a Colt fan. I love the richness of the brand.......but the history of the corporation is very, very UGLY. From family disagreement, to nepitism, to being bought by literally a dozen different investment corporations and conglomerates which have literally liquidated and bankrupted the company many times over again, any other company would have been out of business and forgotten about.....but not Colt, just because of the name....
All this aside, it's now owned by CZ......the best damn parent company Colt has EVER had.
Their products are high quality today, but of course as you know no product is perfect.....need to have good service to back up any product, and it sounds like they're being a little slow on this one.
