My newest rimfire/centerfire matching pair,,,
The only differences are the barrel length and the sights.

S&W's Model 36 and Model 34,,,
Both nickle plated, round butt J-frames,,,
And to my absolute delight both grips have correct serial numbers. :)

This makes my 11th matching set,,,
And in all probability it will be the last I put together.

I already owned the Model 34 and really had no desire to pair it up,,,
But when I saw the Model 36 in a forum classified ads,,,
There was no way my psyche would let it pass.

I think I'll name the 34 Elle and the 36 Dakota,,,
After the Fanning sisters who are blonde and pretty.

My only disappointment is that I was hoping they would fit inside,,,
The Coffin shaped case I purchased from Hampels Woodland Products.

But alas, it's just a tad bit too small for both guns. :(

Anyways,,,
Here they are,,,
My Shiny Ladies.

Some sweet sisters you've got there Aaron! I'd have a hard time passing on the nickel plated Model 36 too!

Thanks Gentlemen,,,

I don't know why the rimfire/centerfire thing hit me,,,
But it's been a driving force behind several purchases of mine.

Some are identical like my Model 15/18 pair,,,
Some have only minor differences like these ladies.

I will say one thing positive about these pairs,,,
Without the cheap practice my Model 34 snubby gave me,,,
I would have never learned how to hit well with my Model 36 snubby.
