You can't honestly have a "collection" without a S&W 686 of some sort. You should really have a 686, 686+, and 627. That would give you a 6, 7, and 8 shot .357.
Personally, here's mine:
S&W 60 (converted for moonclips)
S&W 686 (converted for moonclips)
S&W 686+ (yep, moonclips)
S&W 627 (Jerry Miculek Performance Center edition)
S&W 625 (.45ACP, factory moonclips)
S&W 629 (need to convert to moonclips)
Colt Anaconda
On the prowl for a S&W 500. It has to pass the drop test for California. :banghead:
Why don't you stop by this weekend and I'll take you to the range. You really need to try out this really neat 4" M24 in .44 Special I have right here. I even have two or three sets of grips for it: Fitz Gunfighter, Ahrends Cocobolo, and rubber Hogues.
Here, just hold it a second. See how good these Ahrends feel? Now try these Fitz, isn't this checkering nice ?? Just fits right in your hands. OK, now shoot a few rounds of these 240 LSWCers. Nice... Now the 300 gr LSWCers; surprised? Not too bad.
hehehehehe.......
Next week we'll try something else
Whatever you do DO NOT get a copy of the STD CATALOG of S&W. You will get the collector's jones for sure. I just made that mistake. Now the color pictures are all covered in drool.
what you still need is a complete set of Dan Wesson
revolvers. large frame, medium frame, and if you can find one one of the little snubbie small frames. No collestion is complete without at least one pistol pac Dan Wesson in both 44 and 357.
also a mataba would be a good idea as well it is unique in the revolver world after all.
