This thread which was closed for good reason got me thinking. While I am not a sword or knife type I actually have a sword long forgotten. I actually still have my Marine Corps NCO sword with the scabbard. Last time it was used was several years ago when a Marine friend got married I loaned the sword to cut the cake. I guess the irony is I stumbled upon the thread, remembered I have my Marine Corps sword today and today is the 10th of November the birthday of the Marine Corps which was founded 10 November 1775.

So under non-firearms weapons does anyone else out there have a military sword from any US branch of service?

I gave my NCO sword to a close friend the day I got out. A good Marine who just retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 3 a few months ago. While part of me regrets not having it, the other 99% was glad to pass it along to a friend as a token of camaraderie.

Hey, nice and that was noble of you. When I got out I gave away two sets of dress blues left over from my recruiting duty days.
